COVID-19
Club protocol - Updated 1.10.22
**Beginning December 15, 2021 CDPH will require masks to be worn in all indoor public settings irrespective of vaccine status through February 15, 2022, at which point California will make further recommendations as needed in response to the pandemic.**
The Goldrush Hockey Club (GRHC) is a tenant at both the Lake Forest Training Center and the Aliso Viejo Ice Palace. The protocols listed below are for the GRHC and not those of the facility.
Established protocols and guidance are subject to change throughout the season based on consideration from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Orange County Department of Public Health (OCDPH), the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Please review and follow as listed below.
Self Screening:
In order to ensure the safety of all members, guests and employees, in consideration for member participation at Goldrush Hockey Club facilities, each time a participant arrives at the facility to participate in a session, he/she or their guardian verifies the following information pertaining to COVID-19, which includes the following:
The participant has self-assessed at home through temperature screening before entering facilities;
The participant does not have, and has not in the last 10 days, a fever over 100.4 degrees;
The participant is not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms (including, but not limited to, a cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, muscle aches);
The participant has not had close contact within the last 10 days with an individual infected with COVID-19, suspected of being infected with COVID-19 or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms; and
The participant has not tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days.
The participant may enter the facilities if ALL of the above are true.
When to Stay Home:
If you were EXPOSED to COVID-19 and are NOT up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations:
Calculating Quarantine: The date of your exposure is considered day 0. Day 1 is the first full day after your last contact with a person who has had COVID-19.
Stay home and quarantine for at least 5 full days. Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home.
Get tested Even if you don’t develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
After quarantine watch for symptoms. Watch for symptoms until 10 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
If you develop symptoms isolate immediately and get tested. Continue to stay home until you know the results. Wear a well-fitted mask around others.
Take precautions until day 10. Wear a mask. Wear a well-fitted mask for 10 full days any time you are around others inside your home or in public. Do not go to places where you are unable to wear a mask. Avoid travel; Avoid being around people who are at high risk.
If you were exposed to COVID-19 and are up to date with vaccination OR had confirmed COVID-19 within the past 90 days (you tested positive using a viral test):
No quarantine. You do not need to stay home unless you develop symptoms.
Get tested. Even if you don’t develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
Watch for symptoms. Watch for symptoms until 10 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
If you develop symptoms isolate immediately and get tested. Continue to stay home until you know the results. Wear a well-fitted mask around others.

When to Isolate:
If you tested POSITIVE for COVID-19 or have symptoms, regardless of vaccination status:
Calculating Isolation: Day 0 is your first day of symptoms or a positive viral test. Day 1 is the first full day after your symptoms developed or your test specimen was collected.
Stay home and isolate for at least 5 full days. Wear a well-fitted mask if you must be around others in your home.
Get tested Even if you don’t develop symptoms, get tested at least 5 days after you last had close contact with someone with COVID-19.
Ending isolation if you had symptoms. End isolation after at least 5 full days if you are fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and your symptoms are improving.
Ending isolation if you did NOT have symptoms. End isolation after at least 5 full days after your positive test.
If you were severely ill with COVID-19. You should isolate for at least 10 days. Consult your doctor before ending isolation.

COVID-19 Reporting:
If a participant (club member) has a positive test for COVID-19, this information should be reported immediatly to Olivia Meyer, club registrar.
We ask that all participants, spectators and guests do their part to help reduce and eliminate the spread of COVID-19 while at the facility. Please respect the club and rink policies to help ensure a clean and safe environment for all.
